Why Choose Sandi Hamm DDS
for Sedation Dentistry?

  • Sedation to Minimize Gag Reflexes
  • Feel More Relaxed at the Dental Practice
  • Sedation for Minimal & Moderate Anxiety

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide (also known as “laughing gas”) is usually the best choice for patients who suffer from relatively mild dental anxiety. We’ll administer it through a mask that fits over the nose. Within just a minute or two, you should start to feel more pleasant and content. Best of all, the effects of nitrous oxide wear off quickly after the mask is removed. That means you can directly leave our office and go back to work, run errands, and even drive confidently with no downtime required. This is a great option for patients for busy schedules!

Oral Conscious Sedation

Patients who struggle with moderate to severe dental fear may want to talk to Dr. Hamm about the possibility of using oral conscious sedation during their next procedure at our Mansfield practice. We’ll provide you with a prescription for medication. All you have to do is take it at a predetermined period before your appointment and then have a trusted friend or family member bring you to the office.

While you’ll still be conscious enough to respond to requests from Dr. Hamm and her team, most patients enter such a deep state of relaxation that they don’t even remember their appointment once it’s over. You will need to be driven home as well, and we strongly recommend that someone keeps an eye on you for the rest of the day. You should be completely back to normal by the following morning – and you’ll have an improved smile to admire!

Dr. Hamm looks forward to becoming your trusted partner as you work towards the level of oral health and beauty that you deserve. You’ll always find a warm, supportive atmosphere at our practice, and our comfortable amenities will be sure to exceed your expectations.
